Crackle painting is hard. Notoriously hard. It took me a long time before I could get a consistent result, but hopefully with this article, your journey will be a lot faster.

There’s a lot of different crackle paints to choose from, but we’d recommend the Applicraft available on our website. There’s a lot of great options out there, but we find it ease to use and quick to crack.

If you’re trying to achieve a porcelain like effect, you want a two step medium. Some one step mediums can achieve the same results, but crack a lot faster and tend to be thicker.
